Rheumatoid Arthritis

-Topical treatment: Pain from rheumatoid arthritis can be debilitating and can be difficult to manage, sometimes requiring a different approach to resolve such as topical treatment at the site of pain.

Side effects associated with oral administration can be greatly reduced when medications are used topically, such as gastrointestinal upset and constipation. A topical treatment regimen gives another option for pain management and an opportunity to treat pain without using opioids. Our pharmacists work together with providers and patients to provide a customized topical treatment plan to ultimately achieve relief from chronic pain.

-Low Dose Naltrexone: When taken in lower doses, naltrexone is processed differently through the nervous system and can act as a form of relief from inflammatory diseases. It has been used to treat certain auto-immune conditions, such as Lyme Disease, irritable bowel syndrome or rheumatoid arthritis.
